During literacy this week, Eastgate have been identifying writer hints from a given text. The children then went on to plan, write and edit their own third person refugee narratives.
Within maths this week, Eastgate have completed a recap session on time. They looked at converting between analogue and digital time and even solved some word problems!
Queen Victoria has been the focus of our topic work this week. Eastgate have learnt lots of information about Queen Victoria and went on to draw some fantastic portraits of her too.
R.E allowed the children to learn more about the religion of Islam. The children began to understand the importance of prayer mats and designed their very own.
Finally, our second RSE session took place this week. The children used images to identify the basic facts of puberty. We discussed changes that happen during the time of puberty and looked at visual representations of this change.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend,
The Year 4 Team.
