Together We Achieve Great Things!
Shipgate have had a brilliant week and have amazed us with the outstanding progress they have made this term in their assessments!
During assessment week, the children have worked so hard to complete SPAG, Reading Comprehension, Maths and SWST assessments. The Shipgate team are so proud of the improvement in their results, since their baseline assessments in the first week.
This week in Literacy, Shipgate have completed their final ‘big write,’ creating their own newspaper report. The children have been able to improve and edit their own writing by using purple pen independently. The children were so proud of their writing and have been able to show off their improvements to each other.
In Maths, the children have enjoyed studying statistics again this week. They have been analysing, drawing and solving problems on timetables. They ended the week with a class Times Tables Rock Star competition to celebrate World Maths Day.
Following on from last week’s wellbeing day, in art, the children made their own hand designs to represent the 5 most important things in their lives using oil pastels.
In Monday’s 30-minute blast, Shipgate loved taking part in a class orienteering challenge. They worked so well in their teams to beat AJ’s target. During Tuesday’s session, pupils focused on rugby PE challenges, trying to improve their own performance.
We hope you have a fantastic weekend.
