Super Science Sequencing!

What a wonderful week we have had in Newgate. We are so proud of the children, as we have learnt our very first digraphs in phonics. Our phonics knowledge is transferring into our reading skills as we are completing our first reading assessment, we are very excited by the achievements of the children! Our efforts with our phonics is really paying off and we will be sharing books with words on the Google classroom from Friday 23rd October!

In Newgate’s learning we have been sequencing in Literacy and Science. In Literacy, we have been looking at sequencing the beginning, middle and end of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ story. The children have written key words, as well as drawing scenes from the story.

Our sequencing in Science, has been based around the life cycle of a butterfly! The children have ordered the pictures, as well as completing a cutting and sticking challenge. It is wonderful to see this fine motor development of using scissors go from strength to strength!

We cannot believe we are going into our last week of the half term! Please note that time to talk videos are only to be sent on a Thursday. Please can these be uploaded to the stream or sent to the Newgate@ email address.

We have an exciting week ahead. Please refer to the homework on Google classroom..
