Watergate have had a productive week after a unforgettable weekend.
On Friday 7th June Watergate Warriors began their residential. We worked together to climb Moel Famau and enjoyed a victorious lunch at the very top.
The children were courageous risk takers, who encouraged each other throughout the climb, impressing the teaching team with their achievement- well done Watergate.
When we returned to school, Watergate set up their camps before enjoying evening activities of dodgeball and cosmic yoga. The children sat together for our evening meal and were excited to brush their teeth in school bathrooms.
The following morning, Watergate woke up excited for the day ahead. We started our day with a three-course breakfast and the children worked together to complete team tasks before welcoming in our big surprise. Watergate enjoyed their afternoon, racing through the inflatable obstacle course that filled the school hall. Eventually, after working up an appetite, the children sat together for their final meal of the residential.
Thank you to all the parents/carers who made The Big School Sleepover possible. The children were well equipped emotionally and practically, ensuring they got the most of this amazing experience- we had so much fun!
Have a restful weekend,
The Year Two Team.
