Outdoor Learning Rocks!
Taking our learning outdoors is something Eastgate really enjoy. Whether its consolidation of silent letters in SPAG, fact collection in science or exercising a new skill in maths, we will continue to make use of this space. Likewise, learning outdoors allows for the children to work together, strengthening our friendships and positively contributing to our mental health.
Positivity has been the focus of our PSHE lessons and we have found it has weaved into other curriculum areas organically. Eager to share their learning, Eastgate have decided to feature their fantastic discoveries in their end of half term performance and preparations are well and truly underway- that’s all we can say for now.
Eastgate have continued their exploration of rocks this week and progressed to detailing the stages of fossil formation. They are hooked on this topic and frequently contribute facts, prior knowledge and experience which adds to the engagement and enjoyment of these lessons- keep them coming.
Have a restful weekend,
The Eastgate Team.
