Curious Creature Creations

Wolfgate have been getting creative this week! Amongst the usual literacy and maths lessons, the children have had a busy week of art, dancing and PSHE.

The children have mastered long multiplication this week and have worked extremely hard to use and apply their knowledge to assessment style questions and real life word problems.

During Literacy, the children have created their own pre historic creature which will be the focus of an independent write they will complete next week. The children have taken ideas from our book ‘King Kong’ and have created some scary, bizarre looking creatures. Their imagination and ideas blew myself and Mr Walker away.

During Art this week, we have entered the planning stage of our Monet inspired piece of art, the children have been sketching pictures of the local area in readiness to start painting next week. Away from the classroom, the children had their regular dance lessons but with a twist. This week they have learnt to break dance and worked hard to master ‘The Worm’.

Another great week in Wolfgate with all children continuing to develop outstanding Year 6 behaviour and attitudes.
